The law of change is constant. As sure as the planet earth turns on it’s axis around the sun, change will be rest assured. Children are born - grow into mature adults - into old age and eventually, they die. Those are changes. Our houses and cars wear down, diseases devolep while others disappear. Those are all changes.
The good news is that all of God’s children are assured of one who does not change-God.
Psalm 102:25-27 “Of old you laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you will endure; Yes, they will grow old like a garment; Like a cloak you will change them, And they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will have no end”
It is therefore a great reassurance to know that this everlasting God that Psalm talks about is our provider.
James 1:17 says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning”
Brethren, let not your mountains hold you down-consider them as part of the day to day changes. The song writer so aptly put it, “Time is filled with swift transition; naught of earth unmoved can stand. Build your Hope on things eternal-Hold to God’s unchanging hand
