Every believer confesses to have faith in Christ. Indeed Jesus Christ talked about it.

Its amazing how he knows how little faith we have, no wonder he said that if we can be able to muster as little faith as a mustard seed, then the Almighty God will give us the power to move mountains, He will give you the power to go through that problem that right now seems insurmountable.

Do you remember the apostle Peter?

He is an amazing man to read in the gospel, a perfect example of what true believer go through. He was killed holding fast to his testimony about Jesus Christ. Yet he is the same man who could not hold his walk on the water and almost drowned because of his little faith. He is the same man who denied his Lord three times because he was afraid of the consequences of identifying himself to the Lord, at that hour of need.

So what did Peter do different that led to his victory and securing his free ticket (though actually it cost his earthly body) to be among those that will dine and party with the Lord in the new world that our Lord has promised to those who hold fast.

The apostle Paul has an answer for us…

Examine your self to see whether you are in the faith; test your selves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you-unless, of course, you fail the test? 2 Corinthians 13:6

But how do you examine your faith?

That probably might be the next logical think to ask your self.

Follow the Lords example.

Go back to your Bible and start from the beginning…

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth…

Now notice God’s character here (I will paraphrase)

God saw that the light was good…

God called the dry ground “land” and the gathered water He called “sea”. And God saw that it was good.

I can go on and quote all the instances in that creation story when the Lord re-examined His work…but why not take your time and read it over again.

The Lord examined His work at the end of the day and was pleased by it…for it was good.

As a true believer waiting for the second coming of our dear Lord, please take a break each day from these busy life and examine your faith.

Then perhaps apostle Paul would be write when he says:

And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test.

Amen.
