The Bible says that in the beginning, the world was formless and empty. Nothing existed at that point of time apart from three things.
- Darkness.
- The waters
- The spirit of God
The Bible does not give a detailed account of what was happening during that time while the Spirit of the Lord was hovering over the waters nor does it state how long that duration lasted.
But here is an interesting part to take note of:
The Bible says:
“That darkness was over the surface of the deep” ( the deep here refer to the waters or the sea)
And
“The Spirit of God was hovering over the waters”
Praise GOD. He was still in charge and on top of everything.
Our take home lesson:
We are living at a time where a lot of bad things are happening all over the world, there is far too much evil, too much hatred and killings, far too many hypocrite’s and the list goes on and on.
But the question to ask ourselves is, are you still in charge?
Are you following the Lord ’s example by staying on top of all this darkness that has engulfed the world?
When darkness surrounds us from all sides and corners, then it’s time to embrace faith, hope and love.
