Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings. Prov 22:29
God is asking us to have a constant spirit and put earnest effort in any of our undertakings. Persistence must be our constant companion if we are to succeed in this life. For us to become diligent, we have to learn to treat any little job or duty as if it’s succeess all depended on us.
People may not always appreciate what we have done, but we can always be assured that our Father in heaven sees all that we do and will reward us according to His great riches in glory.
On the contrary, idleness is a trait that the bible speaks against. One man said that, “the greatest curse that afflicts our world today is idleness” We should therefore go into great lengths to shun idleness. Let us remember that our time here on earth is limited, let us do all that we can do, to make this a better place, not only for us but also for the rest of humanity. All these can be achieved if we become a little more diligent. Amen
