And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all His commandments which I cammand thee this day, that the Lord God will set thee on high above all nations of the Earth. Deut 28:1
Today, we live in a world in which people follow the commandments of God whenever it is convenient to them-no wonder, we have so many problems. Just imagine for a moment, that everyone consented to a worldwide proposal to keep all of God’s commandments beggining at 4 o’clock today, and extending for the next twenty four hours. How many lives will be saved as a result of a murder moratorium? How many children will be happy as a result of unbroken families? Nobody will be beating stop lights and as a result serious accidents will be at an all time low. These will be the best twenty four hours we have had, in the past two thousand years.
It is therefore no suprise to me, that our God says in the good book, that He will set us high above all the nations, if we heed His commandments. Our world will be a better place to live in and, we also need not forget that, God will literally shower us with is blessing to extent that we will not be in need-for thus, says the Lord the maker of the earth and all that is in it. This morning, let us hearken unto His voice and He will shepherd us to the green pastures. Amen
