  • The Bible says, dear brothers and sister, worry not and fear not, for the Lord is God the Almighty.

It is a wonderful day that the Lord has given - yet again - to us today. A wonderful morning, a wonderful day and a wonderful evening; that we should all be rejoicing, yet there is so much going on in our lives.

I can’t help but get worried on how things are turning out and I’m not alone. There are thousands and millions of people all over the world that are going through hard times, desperate moments that they can’t just help but question, is there really God?

Just tune on to your local T.V news or your cable or satellite dish. The news there - is all bad news. It makes you wonder…what has come of this world? But the good book the Bible foretold these things, and in the last days; it reads in the book of 2 Timothy 3: 1-5

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.

People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy.

Without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self control, brutal, not lovers of the good.

Treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.

Having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.

How telling, how true of our generation, take a moment and look around you. Just take a break and study your surrounding and what is happening all around. Take a moment and tune on to your T.V and watch the news, watch a movie, listen keenly to your favorite T.V series.

Take a walk to the park, to the mall, to Wal-Mart, or a busy street or attend to your church this weekend and for a moment watch and listen careful to what is really going on. Now ask that the Almighty God may send his Holy Spirit to open your eyes and behold you will be astonished.

Fear not, cry not my dear brother and sister and worry not, for the Lord foresaw these things and told us beforehand in the book of second timothy 3: 1-5 that we just read above, for we are living in the last days. The good news is that He did not stop there and leave as hanging with no alternative and no future. For the Lord says in Psalms 33:18

But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him and those who hope in his unfailing love

And He goes on to say in the book of Isaiah 26:4

Trust in the Lord for ever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal

He humbles those who dwell on high, he lays the lofty city low; he levels it to the ground and casts it down to the dust.

Yes, each day, each moment in your life, may the Holy Spirit open up our eyes and let us realize that we are living in the moments – the last days. And on each day that the Lord so wonderful gives to us, each ticking second and minute that passes by on the clock our redemption grows near, for in a moment in a twinkle of an eye behold our Lord comes in glory and majesty to claim that which belongs to him. Amen
