Always Walk with God
Today we are going to learn more on why it is important to walk with God.
I am the kind of guy who likes nature, given the opportunity I will love to take some time off from this worlds busy schedules, take my love, pack and go somewhere in the country or by the beach and take those long slow evening walks and just let the wind gush by or watch the stars form in the dark night.
Next time you are a little bit stressed out, I challenge you to take an evening walk around your neighborhood, the park or somewhere relatively calm and peaceful. Try to do that with someone you love and you will be amazed by the emotional connection that may develop between the two of you.
This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God. Genesis 6:9
The Bible says that Noah was blameless among the people of his time. In other words when compared to the people living around his town, among his neighbors and villagers, Noah stood above the crowds.
It is also interesting to note what God’s account and thought about Noah’s neighbors was:
Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. Genesis 6:11-12
And we all know the story of Noah, how God commissioned him to build an Ark:
- How it took years to build and make the Ark ready.
- How his friends and neighbors’ mocked him and thought he was a mad man.
- How he went about to get the clean and unclean animals into the ark.
Then finally, Noah and his family with all the animal stayed locked up in the ark seven days before the Lord opened the floodgates and destroyed every other living human, creature and plants.
God saved Noah and his family because Noah learned to walk with God.
We are living in the last days and already history is repeating itself. Man have become too busy chasing after the wind, we have become corrupt and evil, but because of God’s love and faithfulness, we have hope for a better tomorrow.
- Just as Noah walked with the Lord and was saved;
Enoch walked with God and was no more, because God took Him away. Genesis 5:24
We know that Christ went into heaven to prepare a place for us and He is soon coming back again, just the same way he was taken, but this time round he is coming to take us Home. Amen.
If only we can learn to walk with God.
