If one part hurts, every other part is involved in the hurt, and in the healing. If one part flourishes, every other part enters into the exuberance 1 Cor. 12:26
Paul uses the example of the human body to represent the family of Christ. We know from common experience that whenever any part of our physical body is hurting, the entire body suffers-if for instance, our hand is cut off from the rest of the body, we will experience pain and we will not be able to perform the day to day functions as usual.
God’s children are supposed to act in the like manner-in that when one of us is going through tough time, all of us should converge around them. In the same manner, we should celebrate the victories of our fellow brethren. This makes life here on earth which sometimes can be very rough, much easier to deal with.
There is a movie called, “Radio” that was acted by Cuba Gooding Jr which featured a less fortunate young man by the name, James “Radio” Kennedy, who despite his misfortunes, loved everybody around him and tried to do good to all. That is what is expected of all of God’s children. Let us all come together as one family and do what is expected of us-and this has to begin from God’s church, those who profess to know him. Amen
